I have a Roland Electric Piano Plus 450 that takes an Australian current/wattage(????) that takes "AC 240 Volt". I am now in the USA!! I know that USA wall sockets are "DC current". How do I make my piano work?

I plugged in a plain socket converter and powered it up but I don’t think there is enough electricity flowing through it to make it work as the buttons just faintly flash. I haven’t the first clue on electronics. Please help me, what do I need to make this work?
